About Drishti Eye Institute
Drishti Foundation
Drishti Eye Centre was established in 1996 with a vision to fulfill the need for super specialty eye care services in a cost-effective manner that suits every section of society. Drishti Eye Institute has more than 25 years of experience in providing advanced eye care treatment and technology at par with the best facilities available anywhere in the world.
Drishti Foundation was founded in 2013 under the Society Act of 1860 by Dr. M.C. Luthra, Chairman of Drishti Eye Institute, with the purpose of giving back to society. Dr. M.C. Luthra has served countless people and touched many lives during his career with ONGC for decades.
He has organized over 200 free eye treatment camps and charitable cataract surgeries, benefiting thousands of patients, with support from ONGC, Rotary Club, IMA, and other NGOs. ONGC has consistently supported Dr. Luthra’s initiatives and helped introduce advanced technology and equipment, especially after he contributed to establishing a state-of-the-art eye department at ONGC Hospital.
Charitable Initiatives
Drishti Foundation is committed to providing accessible and affordable eye care to underprivileged sections of society through continuous charitable efforts.
- Free surgeries for identified patients through the Drishti Foundation charity wing
- Subsidized and free treatment for underprivileged and BPL children
- Free eye screening camps for underprivileged patients in remote areas
The foundation also operates a charity center at Astley Hall, offering expert consultations and advanced treatments at a minimal fee of ₹50, functioning Monday to Saturday.
Social and Outreach Activities
Drishti Foundation actively conducts awareness programs and outreach initiatives to promote eye health and early detection of eye diseases.
- Annual Walkathons and Cyclathons in March for Glaucoma awareness
- Eye donation promotion during National Eye Donation Fortnight

Regular camps are organized in remote areas to spread awareness about early diagnosis and the importance of timely treatment.
Pediatric Eye Care & School Screening
